Careers and Employability Centre
Professionally trained staff offer help with career planning through individual guidance and workshops and give advice and information on CVs, applications and interviews, vacation work, further student and work placements. The Centre organises careers fairs, employer events and provides vacancy information via its comprehensive website. Staff can also assist students considering course change, transfer or withdrawal.

The Centre for Engineering and Design Education’s team of specialists works closely with the engineering and design schools at Loughborough University to encourage effective and efficient practice and innovation in teaching. Services and facilities offered include state-of-the-art bookable teaching/study spaces, research and project support for CEDE schools, the Engineering and Design Educators Network (EDEN) Seminar Series focusing on learning and teaching issues from an engineering and design perspective and free EDEN FLIX documentary screenings for staff and students.

The Teaching Support team is responsible for the scheduling, management and allocation of equipment and support of the 96 pool teaching rooms on campus.
IT Services supports research, learning, teaching and administration, providing a variety of communication and information technology facilities. All University staff, undergraduates and postgraduate students have access to the services and most IT facilities are available 24 hours a day.

Academic librarians are available to assist all University staff and students to find and use information resources effectively, develop library collections to meet their needs and to be a contact point for any information related enquiry.
As well as over 750,000 books and journals, the Library offers a wide range of learning spaces, including social, quiet and silent study space and bookable individual study carrels and group study rooms. There are 200 PCs available and the Library also has a wireless network throughout the building, enabling users to connect via their laptops or other mobile devices.

Mathematics Learning Support Centre
The Mathematics Learning Support Centre (MLSC) provides award-winning mathematics and statistics support which is available to every Loughborough student.
Staff Development provides a diverse range of training and development activities for all staff.

Centre for Academic Practice
The Centre for Academic Practice provides a wide range of activities to support staff involved in learning and teaching at Loughborough, including identification and sharing of effective practice, design and delivery of nationally accredited programmes of professional development in teaching (particularly in support of staff new to teaching), identifying and developing e-learning resources that promote effectiveness and efficiency, advice on effective practice in the use of Learn (Loughborough’s virtual learning environment) and other applications of technology-enhanced learning, management of the University’s Teaching Awards and guidance on the teaching practice requirements of promotion to Senior Lecturer.
